Pornstar Legends Review

The name says it all. Pornstar Legends is a site dedicated to bringing you legendary pornstars like John Holmes, Seka, Linda Lovelace, Ginger Lynn and Christi Canyon. Bringing back the action from the 60’s-80’s, this site promises to deliver some classic pornstars in their prime.

I’ll admit that I’m no porn historian so there are names in this site that I don’t recognize. If I’m judging strictly the looks of the girls on this site then I would say it’s an even split. About half of them are very good looking and half are average. I understand back when these girls were working the world of the pornstar was not as glamorous as it may be today, but some of the girls on this site are overweight and not very hot. That said, their looks do help lend themselves to the overall classic feel of this site so fans of these movies probably won’t mind.

The action is pure classic porn. Who doesn’t like watching John Holmes or a young Ron Jeremy lay the pipe to some chick? The sex, to me, is actually rawer and at times more intense then it is in some movies today simply because they way the movies were shot they didn’t allow for many takes or multiple cameras and many different angles. They just put the people on screen and had them fuck. Watching these movies took me back to some of the first porn movies I ever owned which were cheesy, grainy and still pretty fun.

The quality of the movies in many of the scenes is not that great. You have to understand that many of these movies were made with some of the first video cameras or old film cameras so the quality is pretty low compared to today’s standards. Those that were shot on film had been transferred to video and eventually then transferred to digital for a site like this so you can understand the break down. To me they looked like watching an old VHS tape. It’s a little grainy, but it may add to the nostalgia of the movie. The pictures were all over the place. Some were surprisingly good. I imagine those were taken with a camera and then maybe the slides were scanned and others are pretty bad. Like the videos the pictures are all pretty old and were made with older equipment so they aren’t going to be high end digital stills.

There is no real way of knowing when the site updates. They have the newest movies and pictures listed, but there are no dates telling you when they were added.

This site features a voting script which allows you to vote on your favorite movies as well as a toplist listing the highest rated movies in it. There are also a dozen or so bonus sites you get access too. One of these bonus sites is a pornstar site that focuses on more modern pornstars and another is a Ron Jeremy site. The rest of the sites cover a very wide range of niches. Most of these sites seem to be pretty nice and have a good amount of content in them.

This is a pretty good attempt at a classic porntar type of site. It’s hard to do that type of site since, I assume, the movies from those days are getting harder to find and license. The overall quality of the videos and pictures is average, but when dealing with older movies that is to be expected. I did wish there was a way of knowing how often the site updated and I kind of found myself wishing for a little more information on the movies themselves. If you are into classic porn this site will offer you a nice look at some of the era’s biggest stars, but if you are not, this is a site that you probably want to skip. The bonus content is nice, but this site is really made for classic fans only.
