They are grainy and blurry and meant for people on really slow connections. The higher grade videos are DVD quality and look fantastic. They have a great picture quality and hold it well even at full screen size. Something I did notice that bothered me was that each scene is around 45 minutes long, yet there is no way to download the full movie in one file so you have to download it in a bunch of smaller clips. The movies are also available in IPOD format but I don't have an IPOD so I have no idea what they look like.

I'm unsure about the updates. It looks like the last update was about a month ago and the previous update before that was three months ago so there are updates, they are just very sporadic.
